ZinckArt

Sometimes when you look really close at something you see things you didn't see before. I love to use this approach when painting flowers. Enjoying all the delicate beauty of the folds of the petals, leaves, etc., I like to paint all of the colors and nuances I see. Hopefully you'll see something in them that you didn't expect.

In addition to painting realistic-looking flowers, I also love to experiment with abstract art. My "Smoke Series" explores how my talent for painting and my husband's talent for woodworking can mesh together to create something beautiful. As he planes wood with his hand planes, I collect the wood shavings and use them with my art. Lighting the shavings on fire as they're placed on top of the acrylic painting creates beautiful, delicate smoke rings that I then enhance further with more acrylic on top. It's turned out to be a really fun and unique way to create art!

In addition to fine art I also create on a daily basis as a Creative Director with a marketing and branding firm. I love to bring a fine art eye to marketing and see what happens!
