The Butterfly Collector is the alias and online playground of Artist Shae Leviston. Shae loves to create new paintings, collage, take photos, teach workshops and have afternoon tea every day english style with a really big tea cup and dark chocolate!

She is inspired by new and vintage books, whimsical art, fashion, folklore, the cinema, music, nature, modern photography, children's books, interior magazines ,paint charts, found things, words that pass her by or pop into her head and of course colour galore! She likes to think of each of her paintings like a page ripped from a story book ... a little part of a bigger story.
