Hello, I am Michelle, a current undergraduate art student in New York. In my work I tend to explore everyday things that appear in abundance and are disposable. I am interested in the patterns that these mundane items can have when I arrange them into a still-life. For some of the set up compositions that I make; I juxtapose it to how these items are found in store. Particularly, I am drawn to the colors, patterns, and logos found on commercial food products. I enjoy giving my pieces witty titles that reflect on life. My favorite mediums to work with are pastels, oil paint, monotype printmaking, and occasionally collage. I hope you like what you see!
