Mariana Weflen is an Appalachian-born fine artist making gouache and ink comics, and figurative illustrations evoking folk art. Mariana's graphic novel 'Wolf Girl' is a folkloric tale of a girl who runs away from home and is taken in by wolves. On the girl's journey through the woods and a rural community, she fights to discover where she truly belongs and if she is more wolf or girl.
