Luís Parreira is an Azorean figurative artist, born on 20/10/1985 in Angra do Heroísmo, Azores, a world cultural heritage city. Graduated and working in the area of ​​information technology, he always had painting as a form of expression and self-achievement. His fascination with art began around 12 years of age, motivated by the artistic influences of his older sister. His artistic journey went through two distinct phases, starting with the photo-realistic portrait of charcoal and dry pastel, having acquired a vast experience in the drawing of the human figure, until he discovered the classic technique of oil painting. At the moment his work consists in the portrait of imaginary figures, inspired essentially in epic subjects, mythology, romance and fashion.
