Jessica uses an interplay of color, texture and light to influence the atmosphere of an object of focus (such as a flower or tree) to explore psychological states, stages of growth, self acceptance, and notions of beauty.

Jessica specializes in abstracts, landscapes or still life format and prefers to represent the idea rather than the specific accurate depiction and replication. This allows for the work to take on deeper meaning that reminds the viewer of their own growth and ideas of self acceptance. The influences from her work in the mental health field and studies on growth and development, and from her previous loves of impressionism, expressionism and realism (where emotion, mood, light and hyper focusing on an object's character inform mood and an inner landscape) have greatly informed her work.

“I want my paintings to serve as a reminder to the viewer to take a moment to appreciate where you are, where you have been, where you are going and who you want to become while loving and accepting yourself in the entire process.” Jessica resides in Minnesota and ships her work world-wide.
