Wellington-based self-taught surface pattern designer, Frances Poff, has been immersing herself in the wonderful world of shapes and colours since early 2020. Having always been an active sewist and crafter with a passion for fabrics, turning her hand to surface pattern design was the “logical’ next step. Nature inspired motifs are a firm favourite, Frances is always taking notice of the little things when out on walks – these are combined with patterns of slightly more structured motifs, ensuring a balanced collection.
