Malcolm is a freelance photographer from beautiful NSW, Australia. He has been taking photographs for decades now, starting with a humble Pentax SLR in the early eighties, he now uses a Canon 700D to capture nature and wildlife – with his specialty being landscapes. Malcolm is a practical photographer who knows the technical side of getting as close to the perfect shot as possible. He combines his love of the natural environment and of travelling to get beautiful photographs to share with his family, friends and those who purchase his work. What started as a serious hobby has transformed into a successful side income and he has found some success in the online sale of his work. Although Malcolm ultimately has an artist’s eye, he is also a technician and is always endeavouring to capture a different subject or view which follows the golden mean and has a composition which makes sense. Malcolm likes to capture images of things others overlook, whether it be a lone tree contrasted against a bright canola field or a flower blooming against a barbed wire fence. His work is always interesting and sometimes a bit left of field, please enjoy his perspective through a lens. “We must remember that a photograph can hold just as much as we put into it, and no one has ever approached the full possibilities of the medium.” – Ansel Adams
