With that in mind, I turned to the pleasure I receive from our dogs everyday: the wagging tails waiting at the door, the pure joy of going for a walk, the indescribable serenity of a heartbeat curled at your feet. These are simplistic, unencumbered expressions of love that I strive to transfer to a canvas.
