I am a self taught artist, coming to art quite recently after being a high school English teacher for 25 years - all words, no time for images. After teaching, the words faded away and I discovered the artist inside me. It turned on like a light switch, to my surprise and delight.

Typically my paintings are ink and acrylic abstract patterns and geometries. I use quite a lot of pearlescents and iridescence, so the originals take on a life of their own in different light settings. In essence, my work is about light, from the cosmic fabric to the innermost microcosmic, with an overlay of the structures and forms our consciousness brings to that cosmic foundation.

My goal for the future is to develop art that many people enjoy, that activates and inspires others to fuller and more joyful self-expression.
